Active sessions that bring local parks to life
We run outdoor activity sessions that help children, young people and families stay active in welcoming local spaces. Our local parks programme uses places like Burgess Park, Ruskin Park and Brunswick Park to make everyday green spaces more accessible through organised activities.
That matters when you want children to spend less time indoors and more time being active in familiar surroundings. Each session is designed to encourage participation, enjoyment and positive engagement through well-planned activities that are easy for local families to access. We provide opportunities that help children enjoy their local environment.

More than a game in the park
Our after-school clubs programme combines sports coaching, holiday activities, fitness sessions, leadership opportunities and community events in one flexible outdoor setting. The variety of activities allows children to develop new interests, try different challenges and enjoy experiences that extend beyond organised sport. Families also have opportunities to get involved and enjoy local activities together, helping create welcoming spaces where everyone can take part.
Why outdoor community activities matter
Regular outdoor activity supports physical wellbeing and encourages children to develop teamwork, communication and social skills through shared experiences. Open spaces provide room to move, explore and build healthy routines that can continue beyond organised sessions. By making good use of local parks, we help create positive opportunities for children and families to enjoy active lifestyles throughout the year.
